Peru's October Inflation Rose 0.61% on Electricity Rates, Food

Nov. 1 (Bloomberg) -- Peruvian inflation accelerated 0.61 percent in October on electricity rates, transport and food prices, the government said.
Consumer prices last month rose from 0.57 percent in September, the national statistics agency said today. Prices rose more than the 0.4 percent median forecast of nine economists in a Bloomberg survey. The 12-month inflation rate rose to 6.54 percent from 6.22 percent, the agency said.
Transport rose 0.5 percent, and food prices rose 0.5 percent, the agency said. Electricity rates rose 5.5 percent.
